Visiting Family

Any change in routine is a risk. Sometimes things go smoothly, other times it is a giant disaster. Reed’s parents were visiting with us over the past week. We are in the UK, they, like most of our family, live in Canada. It was also the half-term break over here. Double change in routine. No school, and more people in the house. Trys handled it quite well this time. She enjoyed some alone time in her room, but also mostly cooperated with the extra sightseeing and activities. If only there was a way to predict what changes will be accepted or not and when, things would be much easier to plan. We could probably do more as well. I find myself hesitant planning certain activities because I am not sure how Trys will handle them. I also feel guilty that Xayden misses out on things when Trys is dysregulated. This time we were lucky, and the week of change worked out.
